Lent: A Season of Reflection, Renewal, and Preparation
This season of Lent the Cathedral has prepared a number of ways for you to engage spiritually, intellectually, communally, and sacramentally. See below for the number of services, classes, readings, and prayer and spirituality offerings that we hope will help you keep a Holy Lent.
Our Lenten theme, Full to the Brim, is an invitation—into a radically different Lent, into a full life. It’s an invitation to be authentically who you are, to counter scarcity and injustice at every turn, to pour out even more grace wherever it is needed. And so, this Lent, let us trust—fully—that we belong to God. Let us increase our capacity to receive and give grace. Let us discover the expansive life God dreams for us. Children and Youth Communion Instruction
During Lent children and youth will join together in the undercroft to explore all things Holy Communion. We do not have a "First Communion" practice in the Episcopal Church, but we believe it is important to learn, many times, what we do and why when it comes to Holy Eucharist. Let Family and Cathedral Life Minister Ashley Ozan know you are coming! We will pause the week of Spring Break.
