The Diocese of Oklahoma is pleased to announce there are two nominees to become the Bishop Coadjutor for Oklahoma.
As part of the process for selecting a new bishop for the state, the candidates will be in Oklahoma to meet Episcopalians, share their vision for the diocese and to answer questions. There are three opportunities to meet the candidates, hear their vision and ask questions through Bishop Walkabouts. The Walkabouts are in early December as noted below:
Friday, December 6th | 6:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's, Lawton
Saturday, December 7th | 2:45 p.m. at Holland Hall School, Tulsa
Sunday, December 8th | 3:00 p.m. at Casady School, Oklahoma City
The Bishop Coadjutor Election will be held Saturday, December 14th at St. Paul's Cathedral.
New Women's Fellowship Group
When women support each other, incredible things happen! So if you're looking for new bonds or hoping to strengthen old ones, please join us December 7th.
We are forming a new Women's Fellowship Group. The idea is that it's a casual group, meeting monthly to enjoy each other over a glass of wine, a game night, movie or whatever the group decides is of interest. The hop is that women of all ages and stages of life will join. There is bound to be a great deal of wisdom and experience we can share.
The kickoff will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7th at the Ozan Home located at 3008 Red Oak Road, Oklahoma City. Wine and appetizers will be served while we time will be spent getting to know each other.
Please contact Ashley Ozan or Lauren Bass if you have questions. Ashley can be reached at 405-819-1105, [email protected] and Lauren is available at 405-514-9129, [email protected]
If you would enjoy the opportunity to get to know fellow parishioners a bit better, consider joining a Narthex Group - small groups of eight individuals or three entire families.
Narthex Groups are forming with the intention of building new relationships or deepening long-standing ones all with the aim of helping each other grow in Christ. Narthex Groups also present an easy way to invite friends who don't have a church home to get a taste of what our life together is like at St. Paul's.
Participants eat with their rotating group which may change every few months. The idea is to pick a date and meet once over a potluck breakfast, lunch or dinner at the home of one of the group's members. The groups shuffle around and folks dine with an entirely different group several weeks later. Narthex Groups include everyone making the gatherings family friendly.
