October brings a new monthly focus to our Living a Faithful Life practices: CARE — Notice and tend what God has entrusted to us.

This week’s Faithful Life Card invites us to begin simply: notice. Notice someone who has been missing. Notice the life and creation around you. Notice the people, creatures, places, and responsibilities God has placed in your care.

Then, take a step toward tending what you notice. Reach out to someone. Spend ten minutes outdoors without your phone. Offer a practical act of care. Pray for wisdom about something entrusted to you—or simply step outside, pay attention, and give thanks.

Christian care begins with attention. What has God entrusted to you, and how might you tend it faithfully this week?
