Embodied Practice Days: Living a Faithful Life with Body, Mind & Spirit

Living a faithful life involves our whole selves—body, mind, and spirit. Throughout the 2026–27 program year, St. Paul’s Embodied Practices offer opportunities to slow down, pay attention, and experience familiar spiritual practices in ways that engage our bodies as well as our hearts and minds.

Through gentle movement, yoga, meditation, breath, and time in creation, these gatherings invite us to become more attentive to God’s presence within us and around us. No previous experience is necessary. Come as you are and discover a practice that may become part of the rhythm of your own faithful life.

Gentle Movement

Wednesdays, October 21 & January 20 | 5:30 p.m.
Garden Gallery | Facilitated by Rebecca Herrin
Building on the movement practices offered last spring and during our Lenten Retreat Day, these gatherings invite participants to slow down and reconnect body, breath, and spirit through gentle, accessible movement. Rather than focusing on performance or ability, the practice creates space to become more present—to ourselves, to one another, and to God. All bodies and levels of experience are welcome.

Yoga, Breath & Meditation

Wednesdays, November 18 & February 17 | 5:30 p.m.
Garden Gallery | Facilitated by Betina Wills
These practices will offer a thoughtful combination of yoga, movement, nervous-system regulation, meditation, and guided breathing.
Through intentional movement and stillness, participants will have an opportunity to quiet the noise of daily life, become more aware of the body and breath, and cultivate greater presence. Whether yoga is already part of your life or completely new to you, you are invited to participate at your own pace and discover how these practices might create space for rest, awareness, and connection.

Forest Bathing & Therapy

Saturdays, December 19 & April 24 | 10 a.m.
Martin Park Nature Center | Facilitated by Page Jackson
Sometimes faithful practice simply begins by stepping outside.
Forest Therapy, also known as Forest Bathing, is a practice that promotes healing and wholeness through immersing oneself in the calming and restorative atmosphere of forests and other natural elements.
Together at Martin Park Nature Center, we will slow our pace, engage our senses, and spend intentional time noticing the natural world around us. Rather than hiking toward a destination, this practice invites us to receive creation—to pay attention, be present, and make room for rest and renewal.

Make Room for Practice

Our Living a Faithful Life practices remind us that discipleship is shaped not only by what we believe, but also by the rhythms and practices we choose to inhabit.
You are welcome to attend one Embodied Practice or join us throughout the year. Each gathering offers a different way to slow down, listen, notice, and make room for God in the midst of everyday life.
