Dean's Message for October 2, 2025

Beloveds,

Every week at our staff meeting, we go over a list of what is coming up this week. This week, we had more than usual! On Sunday alone, we have our usual services, our annual Health Fair, the Blessing of the Animals (at the 9:00 service—word is that we may have reptiles!), our new Covenantal Restoration class, the Interfaith Tour for the youth, and our new Caregiver Care Circle.

Even before, that, the diocesan convention will take place on Friday and Saturday out at St. Crispin's. Next week, we will be hosting vergers from around the country at their annual conference.

If you have been to the office during the week, you know that the staff is still working out of the Garden Gallery while the office areas are spruced up with new paint and carpet. As you face whatever is before you this day, this week, this autumn, know that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are working in, with and through you for the greater good.

"Hold to the standard of sound teaching that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Guard the good treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit living in us"
(2 Timothy 1:14).

The Very Reverend Katie Churchwell, 15th Dean, St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
