Dean's Message for May 8, 2025

This Sunday is one of my favorites of the church year in that we celebrate Jesus as our Good Shepherd. I ask you to take a moment to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest our readings, including the 23rd Psalm, and to spend some time this Sunday with our Good Shepherd Window. You may recall that our window was vandalized a few years ago, and if you look closely, you can distinguish the new glass from the old. Both the damage and the repair are part of our history, one of the many experiences that have defined St. Paul's Cathedral physically and spiritually. Know that wherever you find yourself, that Jesus is your Shepherd and that St. Paul's is your safe haven. "The King of love my shepherd is, whose goodness faileth never; I nothing lack if I am his, and he is mine for ever" (Hymnal 645).
