Beloveds,
This Sunday promises to be a beautiful celebration of belonging, growth, and community life at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral.

During the 10:10 a.m. formation hour, our Spring Member Engagement & Belonging Series continues with St. Paul’s 101. Whether you are brand new to St. Paul’s, have worshiped here for decades, or find yourself somewhere in between, this gathering is for you. Together we will explore the life of our Cathedral community — our worship, ministries, sacred spaces, history, and the many ways we seek to live out God’s mission together in Oklahoma City and beyond. We will gather for this special time in our Reception Area of the Education Building and brunch will be served!

This Sunday we will also recognize and celebrate several graduates from our parish family:
Roger Guilford — graduating from Northwest Classen and attending OCCC
Liam Hart — graduating from Classen SAS and attending Illinois Tech in Chicago
Lillie Henry — graduating from Casady and attending Vanderbilt
Andrew Johnson — graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Theatre Arts
Zach Sexton— graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma

One of the great joys of Cathedral life is the privilege of watching young people grow up among us — being formed in faith, discovering their gifts, asking hard questions, serving others, and becoming who God created them to be. In communities like ours, we do not simply attend church together; we share life together across generations. It is a gift to celebrate these graduates and to give thanks for the ways they have shaped our common life even as this community has helped shape them.

As a Cathedral community, we pray God’s blessing upon them as they begin new chapters filled with discovery, courage, and hope.

O God of wisdom and truth, guide these graduates in the days ahead. Strengthen them when the path is uncertain, encourage them in moments of challenge, and fill them always with curiosity, compassion, and joy. Give them grace to use their gifts in service to others and confidence to follow where you lead; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dont forget -at 4:00 p.m. this Sunday, we will gather for Choral Evensong for Ascensiontide, followed by a reception. This beautiful service will also mark the final Choral Evensong of the season, and I hope many of you will come to support our choir and choristers with gratitude for the gifts they share so faithfully.

There is so much life unfolding among us, and I am grateful to walk this season with you!

Grace and Peace,

The Very Reverend Katie Churchwell, 15th Dean, St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
