Dean's Message for June 19, 2025

Greetings from St. Crispin's Summer Camp! I am so happy to be able to spend this week with our intermediate campers (grades 4-6), along with fellow ‘Cathedralites’ Ashley Ozan and Alice Jensen. I am grateful to Canon Tim Sean and Deacon Tracy for covering the Wednesday 12:10 pm service, and to the staff and Pastoral Care Team for holding down the fort back at St. Paul's.

As we discussed last week, I am looking forward to my 5th anniversary at the Cathedral later this summer and spending the time leading up to it listening to each and every one of you and your vision for the coming years. My family and I have completely and utterly become Oklahomans, and I cannot emphasize enough how much we treasure the friendship and fellowship extended to all of the Churchwells.

The last five years have been the most spiritually rewarding of my life, with experiences that I could never have imagined. "Here I find my greatest treasure; hither, by thy help, I've come; and I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger wandering from the folds of God; he, to rescue me from danger, interposed his precious blood" (Hymnal 686).
