Vestry Update: January 2023

When the Vestry met on January 24, they said a thankful goodby to outgoing members, Jani Hill, Leah McDonald, and Cynda Olberding; Samonia Byford will continue to serve as Clerk. Jani, Leah, Cynda, and Samonia encouraged the rest of the Vestry to get to know more Cathedral folks and love on them, and to include the youth and younger members in conversations and decisions.

The Vestry reports that the fiscal year ended strong, even with repairs and improvements needed on campus. Financial reporting is getting clearer and Stewardship is more joyful.

The Vestry reports they are excited to share the new mission statement at the upcoming Annual Meeting on January 29:

St. Paul's Cathedral is a vibrant Episcopal church in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Deeply rooted in the ministry and teachings of Jesus Christ and the traditions of the Episcopal Church, St. Paul’s is the spiritual center of the Diocese of Oklahoma. We are committed to being a place for all who seek and share God’s unconditional and abundant love, which calls us to comfort and stand with the vulnerable and each other.

St. Paul’s Cathedral…All are invited. All are welcome.
