Final Affairs Class Series

Sunday, March 26, 2023, 10:10 AM

Final Affairs is a five week series of classes at 10:10am Sunday mornings. Classes will be led by St. Paul's clergy, staff and parishoners who are experts in their topics. Classes will run throughout the season of Lent in the Garden Gallery. The classes include the following:

February 26th: "Before You Die...Consider These Things".
We are but dust, and to dust we shall return. But before we do, it’s important to organize fiscal, legal, medical, and funeral planning documents to help loved ones walk a simpler journey in their immediate grief. Join Deacon Marilyn Robertson and Jani Hill to gather information to assist loved ones to prepare more fully for that time.

March 5th: "When Someone Dies . . . There’s a lot to do"Have you asked yourself “what do I do if someone dies unexpectedly at home?” Were you aware that clergy wants to be available to you when that occurs? Do you know what’s next? Deacon Marilyn and Jani continue their conversation related to the multitude of activities that occur after someone dies.

March 12th: "Planned Giving & Columbarium Options" with Dean Katie Churchwell, Tim Fischer and Franci Hart. Learn about the new Legacy Society at St. Paul's. Impact future generations and share your love for the Cathedral in your will or estate and become a Legacy Society member. Also come to learn about the different internment sites at the Cathedral and begin to consider where you want to be buried.

March 19th: "Wills & Trusts" with Sherry Sullivan. Sherry is a seasoned attorney in Oklahoma City and long-time St. Paul's member who will lead us in organizing your assets so you can be good stewards of your resources.

March 26th: "How to Die Graciously" led by Tim Jones. While we all know life ends in death - we spend little time preparing emotionally and psychologically for our death or the death of others. This discussion will invite you to consider how you might prepare in life for death by living fully.
