Making Christmas Eve Worship Special
This will be a year unlike any other. Many of the familiar and cherished traditions we hold dear are going to be modified or unable to occur. Coming to church on Christmas Eve and squeezing into the pews with family and friends will be one of the traditions that is modified for this year.
In an effort to bring a bit of normalcy and joy to our Christmas Eve worship, you are invited to come to St. Paul's on December 20 at 6:00 p.m. and drive-thru and pick up a Christmas bag!
This bag will contain (for those of you worshiping at home) a beautifully printed Christmas Eve Service Bulletin, a very special candle for you to light during the traditional singing of Silent Night during the service, and extra elements of joy for you and your families to enjoy.
The Church will be decorated and made festive (even more than it already is) for your arrival on the 20th! St. Nicholas will be there to share some Christmas joy with the children (and has a present for them!) and it would be a great time to come down to St. Paul's and enjoy the beauty of the cathedral under a blanket of stars and with the twinkling of Christmas lights.
There are four in-person and virtual services on Christmas Eve
2:00 p.m.- Rite II with music and sermon (Dean Churchwell preaching and Canon Susan presiding)
5:00 p.m.- Rite II with music and sermon (Dean Churchwell preaching and Canon Tim Sean presiding)
8:00 p.m.- Rite II with music and sermon and incense (Dean Churchwell preaching and Bishop Poulson presiding)
11:00 p.m. Rite I with music and sermon and incense (Bishop Poulson preaching and presiding)
Use the form below to indicate which bulletin you would like included in your Christmas bag. If you will be attending in-person, you will be given a bulletin at the service you attend on 12/24.
