February Outreach
"Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." Matthew 25:40
Every month there are two intentional Outreach opportunities to participate in, an item collection with a contact free drop-off and a hands on (COVID safe) project; people can participate as much as they would like.
In January we had a very successful collection and hands on project, where we supplied and put together 50 "Appreciation Bags" for nurses at OU Medical Center.
The month of February brings to St. Paul's a new Outreach Ministry: Blessing Bags!
The Outreach Committee and the Cathedral's Youth Group had the same idea at the same time, and we are excited to have a Blessing Bag ministry come to St. Paul's to benefit those in our community who are in need. We have partnered with The Homeless Alliance, Oklahoma City to identify the most needed items to fill the bags, and in the month of February we will be collecting these items and making our first set of bags.
The goal is to have bags available year round to give out if people come to the Cathedral seeking assistance AND for parishioners to take these bags out into the community and hand them out to people they see in need.
