Resources for Adult Education
As part of the journey of faith, it is important to draw upon appropriate resources that will enable growth and understanding. Below are several external resources that are web-based and therefore portable.
The Logos Project
The LOGOS Project is a video series presenting global faith leaders offering their expertise on theological, practical and spiritual subjects.
ChurchNext is a series of short courses intended to enrich your spiritual life ranging from lessons on the Bible, theology, The Book of Common Prayer, and personal or family faith building. Subscriptions begin at $9 per individual.
NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from the perspective of Jesus. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question and join the discussion.
NOOMA films are created and produced by the non-profit organization Flannel, a group of people committed to giving everyone a fresh and compelling look at the teachings of Jesus.
Pray As You Go
Pray as You Go is a daily prayer session to help you pray whenever you find time, but particularly whilst travelling short distances.
A new prayer session is produced every day of the work week and one session is available on weekends. It is not a 'Thought for the Day', a sermon or a Bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer life that day.
Lasting between 10 and 13 minutes, it combines music, Scripture and some questions for reflection.
You can download their app directly to your IPhone or Android device.
The Daily Examen is a technique of prayerful reflection on the events of the day in order to detect God’s presence and discern his direction for us. The Examen is an ancient practice in the Church that can help us see God’s hand at work in the human experience. See more at Ignatian Spirituality from Loyola Press.
